From the Bride: "Zach and I met on the little Miami River while canoeing with friends. We dated through the end of high school and our college years at Eastern Kentucky University. February 29th (leap year!) will be our 8 years. We are outdoors people and we try to go on adventures as much as we can! Zach also proposed on the Little Miami on a hike to John Bryant State Park where he vowed to be my life long adventure partner. When our wedding planning started we thought of no better place to say our vows than in nature. We wanted our wedding to be relaxed and a time for our families to enjoy the beauty of God's creation and each other's company.
There is a lot of love put into this day, through the handmade things to people who came out of the woodwork to make it all happen. I am an artist and having my hands in the things that would be a part of our day was important to me. Each time something was made it made our day seem that much closer! The location we are at is in my hometown, I have grown up in Lebanon and Zach in Springboro, so it's nice to be so close to home! The YMCA I have worked at since I was 15 and they raised me up and the staff that I worked with taught me so much over the years. I am forever grateful for the love they have shown and the characteristics they instilled in me. No better place for us to begin this journey of love than in a place that gives so much love to our community."
Bethany and Zach's day was as close to picture perfect as you can get! Filled with sunshine, and all of the leaves had started to change color for their wedding in October. Every detail was handmade, sentimental and creative. I loved seeing Bethany's hard work on display throughout the ceremony and reception! You won't want to miss the gorgeous arch they created to be married under, and each mug and reception centerpiece were made by the bride. They ended the day with a bonfire, surrounded by their closest friends and family to celebrate the start of their new life together. I couldn't think of anything more perfect for them! Enjoy some favorites from their day :)
