Destination Engagement Session in Florence, Italy // Fine Art Film Photography

Travel

Friends, I am SO excited to be sharing these next few blog posts with you! We met this sweet couple last year while we were celebrating our anniversary in Italy at a vineyard tour in Tuscany. They were planning a destination wedding for the following year, so I gave them my information and was thrilled when they reached out to me about traveling to Italy to shoot their wedding! We arrived in Florence a few days before the activities began, and took that opportunity to do an engagement session around the main sites of this historical Italian city.

We woke up before the sun and started our session at the Duomo at the center of the city – it was unbelievable to photograph against such intricate architecture that held so much history! As the sun began to rise our driver took us to a bridge facing Ponte Vecchio, and it was truly magical. We had the city to ourselves, and the glow of the sun was the perfect backdrop for the oldest bridge in Florence! The last stop for our session was at the famous Piazzale Michelangelo,  and we took in the majestic panorama of the city to end our time together. These two braved some unseasonably chilly temperatures and wind gust advisories (25-35mph!) and so we had to end our time with some cappuccinos and croissants 🙂 I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from our tour of Florence!
