Kristen & Marshall (An Outdoor Ceremony in the Hale Cloister at the Dayton Art Institute)

Weddings

From the bride: “Marshall and I had our first date at the Dayton Art Museum, and the reason I took him there is because my family has so much history in the space. I was very close to my grandparents, all of which have since passed on. My grandpa was good friends with the curator of the museum, and appraised many of the art that is currently in the Asia section downstairs. My grandparents took us there so many times growing up, that I feel little bits and pieces of them still in the museum—something that’s so special because they won’t get to be there for the wedding.

We really wanted a wedding that captured how close we are as friends, but also how much we love our families. The gifts are very personal, the ceremony intimate, and the music…perfect! We both work in the music industry for a living, and we chose not to have our friends involved in the wedding but it’s still going to be super special. I’m so excited!”

Kristen and Marshall, your wedding day at the Dayton Art Institute was beautiful! I loved that you chose a ceremony site that is so personal to who the two of you are and reflected your history and personalities so well. The outdoor ceremony in the Hale Cloister was lit perfectly by the setting sun, and I loved that you chose to have a live band to serenade your guests throughout the reception! The joy and fun that you bring out in each other is obvious to everyone that’s around you – you can feel the laughter from the images which makes them some of my favorites. Never stop having fun and bringing out the best in each other – wishing you many years of happiness to come, Mr. & Mrs. Bales!
